I extend my everlasting gratitude to every losing football team in the World Cup. Without them, I would not have this most perfect of sequels. This is so much more satisfying than any version I could have written myself, because it's as if I had the chance to watch these characters come to life: they seem so real, and I had no more idea what was going to happen than Wilhelmina did.

You've captured not only the canon characters, but also the slightly-different fanfic versions of them. I love Will's creature metaphors, and Cheerleader Amelia helpfully offering the wrong advice. (My partner's cousin is something like this; he's as well-meaning as he can be when he offers advice in the areas of relationships and finance, and he's actually quite helpful in his way: just do the exact opposite of what he suggests, and you'll be fine.)

Things I love:

--the fact that Wilhelmina can read Minerva so well (Minerva would probably have looked cool and composed to any outsider, but Will knew what to look for, and could see she was anything but)
--W's characteristic terseness
--the way the poem shows up (that Will would assume she doesn't understand it and of course understands perfectly)
--the way you chart the inevitable awkwardness of their initial meetings
--This line: She'll be like the cat who sprawls across the parchment when you attempt to write something. (I didn't know you'd ever met my cats /g/)
--the fact that this story, like the first one, ends with a letter from W. (and that she writes it in bed! hahaha)

Thank you, thank you, dear Miss M. This is a treasure. I'd like you to write sequels to all my stories now, please.
